SwiftCall and The Basic Software Company
Meet Jake Santangelo
Founder & CEO Jake Santangelo started The Basic Software Company, the publisher of SwiftCall, in 2015 in Michigan. Originally starting a travel app, Jake then programmed an app to help him make cold calls for the travel app, and eventually realized customers would really need this. This app would later become SwiftCall, which was published to the App Store in 2017 and has customers from six continents (unfortunately no users in Antarctica, yet).
These productivity apps ultimately became the SwiftSuite, a series of productivity apps that have made it into the Top 10 Business Apps and the Top 20 Education apps.
Principles matter. The Basic Software Company's apps respect your privacy. The BS Company's products do not have the BS that the other companies have.
The Basic Software Company gives back to the community. When the government negligence in Michigan led to the Flint Water Crisis, Jake programmed SafeWater Flint to help residents in Flint find clean water, later earning a Character Award for his work.
What's in store for the future of The Basic Software Company? Here at The Basic Software Company, Jake believes the only future is the one you make. Even if that doesn't entirely make sense, The Basic Software Company's products will continue incorporating the core company principles of Live. Laugh. Love.
